South Korea 12: A final hike and waterfall

Yesterday we did a near 15 kilometer hike.  I chose the Olle 7 Jeju hike because it started just near our hotel.  We walked down the road and looked for ribbons that marked the path.  These ribbons would line the entire hike from start to finish, with occasional blue arrows and number 7 plaques.  The ribbons first led us south to Oedolgae, a nice cliff side that you could go down to the bottom of.

For the first third of the hike there were many birds, as it followed a forested path along the cliffside.

We had to follow a detour toward town for a while.

Eventually we ended up along a beach, where beautiful flowers and cacti grew.

The path turned into rocks and then into a small seaside town.  At one point, a group of young people came over and offered Miles an unopened ice cream cone.  Miles was very pleased.

The path once again turned inward, having us walk through farms and other parts of the rural town.

As we neared the end, we were once again up on a cliff side with some nice views.

The hike took up a good chunk of our day.  I am writing this a day later, on our last day.  Today we mostly rested, with our only event being a quick fifteen minute walk to a local waterfall.  The place was flooded with the dreaded selfie sticks.  I took a few quick pictures and we left.  Tomorrow we wake up at 6:15 am to begin our journey, first by a flight to Seoul, then a trade ride to a different airport, and then our flight back home.
