Xmas 6: Victoria: The night, X-men, and miniatures

The first night in Victoria I went out for a long walk to attempt picture taking at night.

Our hotel.

The next day we woke up to a herring gull, according to Jeremy's analysis.  Stephanie named him James.

The day was rainy.  Stephanie is a fan of the X-men, so I had us go visit the X-men mansion.  Hatley castle is located about an hour away.  We walked the grounds and had free access to the gardens, which while not in bloom, were fairly expansive and very beautiful.

We took a detour to go to the main store of a print shop that we had seen in the mall that I had liked.  I inquired about shipping to Florida and the woman who I assume was the owner, couldn't be bothered.  We took the bus back into town and then rushed over to the Miniature World exhibit that operates in the same building complex as our hotel.  As a side note, Stephanie noticed that people had the habit of saying, "Thank you" to the bus driver as they were exiting the bus.

I spent the first half of Miniature World exhibit taking the same picture with two different lenses/cameras, in other to make a comparison between them.  The second half of the exhibit was more interesting, and dealt with fantasy and creativity.
